Unusual but not too wierd Australian names

We have one DS with a 'J' name and would like a name for potential number 2 boy. Our DS1 has te name of an Australian tree (can't say as will 'out' me) Surname starts with a 'C' - any ideas?

Could we have a little more to go on? I'm not au fait with Australian trees so have no idea at all,in the slightest what you DS's name is.

What kind of names do you like?

DS1 is named after Jarrah tree but spelt differently. I work with kids and find it so hard coming up with names that don't remind me of them. Would like another unusual name that is not really really strange. We are Aus family and going to move back in a few years.

I'm not saying they don't exist, but I have never ever met anyone with the name 'Banjo' here. There was Banjo Paterson (whose real name was Andrew).

I love the name Banjo and know two! Tasman is pretty Oz! What about an Australian place name that means something to you ...Darwin, Hunter, Eyre,Hobart?!

Glad you explained about the tree - I half thought you'd called him Jacaranda, which would be nice for a girl, less so for a boy.

Thanks all, some interesting ideas. There are some I like but not sure I will be able to talk DH round as a little too unusual for his tastes. Went to school with a Tucker but everyone replaced the T with an F so maybe not. Quite like Monty but my friend's dog has that name and have always liked Rowan but MIL has cat with that name. Will have to keep looking!

My Australian male relatives are called Dawson, David, Peter, Zynadin and Ziyrelle.
