If you are second child do you feel your name is second best?

Expecting no 2 soon and was wondering if you are secon child of same sex do you feel you name is second best? After all, we chose our dd1 name because it was our favourite, and get middle name because it's our second favourite, so if this baby is a dd it will only get our third favourite name.

DS we only really considered two names we both loved - one DH slightly preferred one I did. In the end he got one as his name but a completely different middle name as the other name was not one I wanted for a middle name and could 'save' in case of second DS.

DC2 was a girl and ended up with a female variant of the unchosen name from DS and a middle name I would have loved to be her first name but was too close a variant to mine.

Love both their names

Picked our favourite girl's name for DD. By the time DS came a couple of years later, we had forgotten every other name on the list and had to start again. So it was a new favourite, not the leftovers from a previous list.
