Josephine

I love the name Josephine, but can't have it for a (potential) next DD. I particularly like the -phine ending.

Any other suggestions? For some reason I don't like Delphine

Jacqueline is similar? or Valentine? Clementine? Kathleen? Christine?

Quite like Emmeline but it feels quite long even though Josephine is just as long

Sophie is nice too, but I don't like nn 'Soph'... Plus I prefer to pronounce it SophIE (emphasis on second syllable) which could cause confusion.

How about Sophia then? Would lend itself to the pronunciation you prefer and there are lots of non-Soph NNs. I had a friend called Sophia and nobody ever called her Soph, it would be Fi or Fifi.

Squoosh you are on form! Quite a lot of French names in Pasi's post; I've got a feeling there might be some obscure French --phines.

I love Josephine - it's DD1's middle name which I took from my Aunt. However, DD hates it!
