Please can you suggest some boys names for me, I have a healthy list of girls name that I really like but really struggle with boys.

Top two at the mo are Amos and Jasper.

Also quite like (but probably wouldn't use for various reasons):

Orlando
Roman
Otis
Orson
Solomon
Chester
Walter
Nelson
River

I'm quite drawn to nature names and names with a but of history, outside top 100.

If it helps, my favourite girls names are:

Clementine, Flora, Rosa, Claudia, Saffron, Flavia, Delilah

Ooh we have very similar tastes and I too am struggling to pick a boy's name.

Our initial ideas were along the lines of:
Austin
Silas
Magnus
Malachi
Basil
Bruno
Otis
Percy
Ezekiel
Gideon
Fergus
Monty
Seth
Thaddeus
Xavier

I think we have whittled in down to a choice between Fergus, Otis, Ezekiel, Gideon and Malachi. Of course I would have used my all-time favourite Solomon if it didn't rhyme with my blasted surname! Angry

Love Roman, Orson or how about Quentin?

hatebeak · 22/10/2012 21:22

Otto
Julian
August

Hector

Really like Amos, Solomon, Roman, Quentin and Clement. Great underused classics!

mayanna123 · 23/10/2012 07:02

The problem with Hector is its meaning (bully) as well as the lack of nicknames (HeckGrin).

BikeRunSki · 23/10/2012 07:10

Ambrose?

marilynmonroe · 23/10/2012 16:44

Does he toe mean bully? My hector is not a bully! I do hate heck though! It's hector!

mayanna123 · 23/10/2012 18:11

Yes, the verb 'to hector' means 'to torment or bully'. Shame as the name sounds nice otherwise.
