hi everyone,

i'm being induced tomorrow and i'm having boy / girl twins.

i'm english but live in france with dp who is french.

The little girl is gonna be called ella (known but not really common in france) and until this v early morning (as i laid in bed thinking about it!!), the little boy is going to be samuel.

just having a little wobble on samuel, not really sure why but not hundred percent sure.

so i thought i'd ask for any other suggestions, just in case!! it has to be a name that sounds ok in both french and english, and if possible isn't prononced totally differently in the two languages.

thanks!!!

And if you told me you had a son called Sam and a daughter called Ella I'd instantly think WTF where you thinking?! Grin

Sam and Ella - no no no... it WILL matter.

Luke/Luca/Lucas

By the way I have fraternal twins now 3.5 yrs called Connie and George.

GOOD LUCK!

Paul...Andre. Both are good French Names.Jill.

Alltheflowers · 27/09/2012 14:20

I think you're set on Samuel anyway! I would go for it - if it's not an issue in France, I wouldn't have thought it matters.

Good luck for tomorrow - very exciting!

Also love Xavier

Are you happy you won't get any "Ella"/"elle a ..." confusion? I think that would be more of a question for me than salmonella.
Best of luck with the induction.

I know twins called Sam 'n Ella. I'm afraid everyone sniggers.

Instead of Ella, how about Isla, Eleanor, Helena?

diddl · 27/09/2012 18:04

But OP wants Samuel & Ella.

Hope it all went ok, OP.

What names did you decide on?

AnOldieButNotSoGoody · 27/09/2012 19:23

Samuel and Esme
Samuel and Anna
Samuel and Lois
Samuel and Juliet
