We're still seeking inspiration. Can you give me your absolute favourite girls name - just one - never min whether it goes with siblings or surname or is too posh or dh doesn't like it. I'd just love to know everyone's favourite. Maybe we'll be inspired.

Mia from me too. But also need inspiration for her little mystery sibling, and we are having trouble agreeing on any girl names, so shall lurk with interest.

Noura

This is DDs name DH is muslim and wanted an arabic name which should be chosen for the meaning and not the name itself. Noura means Light (from Allah-God). Her middle name is Na'eemah which is DMLs name and it means blessing.

I have three girls so these are my favourite names after my dds names.

Irena
Mabel
Penelope
Theodora
Dorothea
Sylvie
Ava - too popular!

charlottehere · 19/09/2012 22:15

Aurora too

Elise - DD name

Whatiswitnit · 19/09/2012 22:27

There are so many girls' names that I love, many of them already mentioned on this thread.

My favourite, however, is Lily. I know it's ridiculously popular but it is a beautiful name.

jazzer2012 · 19/09/2012 22:28

Lily

jazzer2012 · 19/09/2012 22:31

that is so wierd Whatiswitnit, just as I typed Lily your message flashed up at the same time! It is my daughter's name!

2MumsAreBetterThan1 · 19/09/2012 22:33

Megan and Evelyn

Kaekae · 19/09/2012 22:34

I can't just give one!

Poppy...my DDs name - just so many of them around now though. Hmm
Hattie
Ava
Eliza
Violet
Elsie

DD would have been Florence had it not rhymed with our surname or Amelia but felt it was too popular.

Londonista1975 · 19/09/2012 22:36

Eleanor

SchnitzelVonKrumm · 19/09/2012 22:38

Honor, which I love and couldn't use - twice - because it doesn't work with either of our surnames.

Ample · 19/09/2012 22:41

Favourite name is my dd's - already mentioned above I see Smile

Second all-time favourite is Juliet (with a quiet 't' not ette, and yes it does makes a difference!)

Wafflenose · 19/09/2012 22:44

Sennen, and I missed my chance. I had two DDs, and thought of it after the last one was born. You're welcome to it though, as we're not having any more.

I do love my DDs' names, though!

BorisJohnsonsHair · 19/09/2012 22:44

Florence. Or Claudia. Can't decide!

bulletwithbutterflywings · 19/09/2012 22:49

Bridie

HenriettaPootel · 19/09/2012 22:59

Lara

ExitPursuedByABear · 19/09/2012 23:13

Ach - no idea. I always loved Poppy, but when we had DD we went with a safe family name. She was due in September, but had I known she would be born in October then I would have considered October as a name, or Octavia.

I have also always loved Hebe.

MummytoKatie · 19/09/2012 23:17

Kate.

As you can see from my name I nearly got my way. Dh mentioned one time that he liked Katie and I dove on it! I call her Kate whenever he's not listening.

She's legally Katherine so I have Kate-based-hopes for when she is a teenager.....

(Although she prefers to be known as Peppa Pig.)
