My friend is expecting her 3rd baby and she is looking for a modern name for her baby beginning with K . She doesn't know the sex of the baby yet ... any ideas ? ?

"European way of spelling it"

No it isn't. Pick a country, Europe is BIG, and as mentioned, plenty of European languages don't have K's.

For a boy - Kenneth

For a girl - Kathryn

My name is Clara and is written as Klara in
Hungarian. Also written like this in other Eastern European countries, and have also seen it written like that in Germany.

So there!

LouMacca I really love the names Kit and Kitty too. The story is that Mumsnet hates names that begin with a K (I have NO IDEA if that's true), which is ALWAYS mentioned on a "K name" thread. Usually along with the recommendation that one chooses a name that would suit a future high court judge (or doctor) and that doesn't include K names. Or Jayden.

It's all very jolly Hmm

Badgerina · 09/09/2012 14:28

(I'm exaggerating by the way)

So there? Hmm
You proved my point you numpty, its only a K in a few European countries.
There is no "European way" of spelling a name, what with all the different languages and even alphabets in the whole of Europe.

Ooooo some lovely ideas , I will be sure to pass them on :) I personally don't have a problem with the K name , sorry to the posters who do , seems I may have woke the bee in your bonnets lol .

Skivvytomany , she has 2 DDs with a K name and it was always a joke before she got pregnant that people would expect a 3rd K , she hasn't decided yet if dc3 will be another K but I was just thinking of ideas in advance , just incase :)

Thanks for the ideas , I will be sure to send her to this forum for some ideas !!
