Are there any family names you'd like to use?

If you don't want to, you don't have to use a middle name at all.

Will have a think of names to go with Ralph though (which I love btw!)

Joseph
Henry
George

Ralph Leo is nice :) - not sure if you need something longer to go with Ralph although I guess it depends on your surname!

xmasevebundle · 12/08/2012 02:02

imustbepatient · 12/08/2012 11:45

My father is Ralph Allan, which I think goes well, if that appeals?

It's nice to have a middle name which means something to you IMO.

Where are you from?

Who are your favourite musicians / authors?

What time of year will Ralph be born? (guessing from your name - will it be Christmas? There are lots of lovely winter / Christmas names other than the obvious).

Ham69 · 12/08/2012 13:12

Ralph Theodore Barton

Ham69 · 12/08/2012 13:15

Or maybe not with Ph and Th sounds together!
How about Ralph Leonardo Barton if you like Leo but think it's too short?

xmasevebundle · 12/08/2012 13:50

Yeah i want a nice meaning!!

I am from milton keynes but i live in a seaside town now!!

I like Eminem i was going to name Ralph a Stanley after Stan. His songs reminds me of what i went though.

Listen to Jessie j nobody perfect alot because i think of what i did to my ex now hes done it to me but hes the one asking for forgiveness?

I do any christmas boys name??!

OP posts:
threeleftfeet · 12/08/2012 13:59

Oh, please don't name your child after Stan!! It's a great song, but seriously depressing, the character is not exactly a role model!!

Nor one that's about issues between you and your ex!

Let's think positive! :)

xmasevebundle · 12/08/2012 14:04

Yeah thats why i havent called him stanley!! lol.

I just cant think what will go with Ralph?

Hes got to have a middle name me and all my brothers have.

Pulling my hair out daily!!!

some of the obvious Christmas/winter names ...

Christopher
Noel
Christian
Gabriel
Joseph
Nicholas

A couple of lessobvious ..

Robin
Oscar means "lover of deer" (the Celtic version of it)
Oisin (Irish name pronounced Ush-een) means "little deer"

threeleftfeet · 12/08/2012 14:17

I think Ralph Oscar Barton sounds nice :)

MagdalenaAlec · 12/08/2012 14:23

You probably need a 2 or 3 syllables mn starting with a vowel or an H after Ralph.
How about:
Andrew
Anselm
Adam
Anders
Alistair, Alastair, Alasdair
Emmanuel
Evan, Ewan, Euan
Etienne
Eli, Elie, Elias
Inigo
Ivan
Ian, Iain
Ivo, Ivor, Ifor
Oliver
Henrik
Hadrian, Hadrien ?

If you like Stanley, you might also like Stanislas?

Hope it helps!

xmasevebundle · 12/08/2012 14:28

OP posts:
xmasevebundle · 12/08/2012 14:31

And oisin i love the meaning. Oh i have a few now!!

I write them down and look at them for days if it dont look right i cross it out!

Thick notepad too! Got till xmas to use the paper lol...

OP posts:
threeleftfeet · 12/08/2012 14:44

Oisin's lovely isn't it. There's a whole story behind the name, Oisin is a warrior-poet, who falls in love with the fairy woman Niamh and goes away with her to the land of the forever-young (Tir Na nog) - but I'll let you google that yourself!

It's often written as Oisín (with the accent).

There's a Scottish version: Ossian (pronounced Osh-an).

Or the Anglicised version is written and pronounced Oss-ian.

xmasevebundle · 12/08/2012 14:49

I like the oisin better and ush-een. Took me a while to think to pronounce it!!!

I think out of all the names given..

Its oisin, robin, noel, leonardo!!

Thanks everyone for the replys made my brain go on over drive :)
