Short girls' names, preferably not ending in a vowel...

My first daughter has a short name, ending in an "ah" sound. I like loads of names ending in "a" but don't want another one for DD2, so I'm seeking your help please, to find something short, not complicated to spell, and hopefully with a consonant sound at the end, or at least not at "ah". Any ideas, please?

How short? Most of the monosyllables would fit the bill: Faith, Grace, Rose, Eve, Joy (and Jane/Jean/Joan/Jan!); or two syllables like Helen, Megan, Frances.

Ruth (my DD's name)

I'm liking Hazel for DC2 if it's a girl. Also like Seren.

The short and simple is because of DP's dyslexia, BTW. He has to stand a chance of being able to spell it. And flower names are out due to surname. Thanks for the suggestions - a few names of family members there (Inc Ruth, Mary, Helen, Jane) but also a few I can put forward for discussion.

How do you say Hebe? Is it like heeby jeeby? Grin

I thought of Pearl (I LOVE that name but couldn't have it for either of my DDs because it doesn't go with our surname). Love the suggestions of Elle and Grace. Liv is another idea.

Linnet. Twas the name of the little girl in the Green Knowe books and I've always liked it. It's a small bird I think.
