What else is Teddy short / a nn for?

I can think of Edward and Theo, but no others.

I'm wobbling over what I thought was my final choice... argh!!!

Theodore, as in Roosevelt.

PepperOnMyPaprikash · 08/07/2012 19:09

It could be Edmund or Edwin maybe?

SoozyWoozy · 08/07/2012 19:12

Naming babies should be easier than this LOL!

Edmund doesn't do it for me either. Edwin was what I was going to be called if I was a boy, my mother would have a field day :)

Busted

Iggly · 09/07/2012 21:31

Call your baby what you like - you can still nickname them Teddy. Doesn't have to match.

bronze · 09/07/2012 21:33

theobald

theophilus ? pushing it

bronze · 09/07/2012 21:36

Rupert
Cornelius
Basil
add bear to them then nickname them teddy

Ben- call them gentle ben then call them bear then teddy

thats how most proper nicknames came about
My brother started as a nice normal name and it mutated to Bof some how

AWomanCalledHorse · 09/07/2012 21:38

Call him whatever you like & give him the nn Teddy.
Aside from myself & BIL I know no-one who has a name related nickname.

SoozyWoozy · 10/07/2012 12:46

Busted... LOL! Can you imagine?! Brilliant :)

At a push, one of the meanings for Arthur is bear and you could get Teddy from that?

savoycabbage · 10/07/2012 14:05

I am loving Busted!

bronze · 10/07/2012 17:57

Oh Albert too

SoozyWoozy · 10/07/2012 18:07

Bus, Ted? Ha!

Arthur is cute, I like that. DDs have called the bump Baby Bear all along, so that fits nicely :)

Thanks everyone
