Is this too cruel? Not as bad as it could be I suppose - and will people even notice? I suppose I did...........

Oh they will notice! Move them round

tammy234 · 22/06/2012 15:02

What is cruel about 'legs'? It is funny, if anything imo.

tammy234 · 22/06/2012 15:03

My initials are M.A.D. - I love it Grin.

DefiniteMaybe · 22/06/2012 15:04

go for it. My dds initials spell mams.

Spice17 · 22/06/2012 15:04

Especially as DH is 6 ft 5! I'm already calling her 'Legs' - bad isn't it. :)

They'll notice, sorry.

CloudRazor · 22/06/2012 16:19

I wouldn't worry about it! Kids won't notice until maybe junior school, and legs isn't a rude word, it's just quite comical. Go for it Smile

monkeymoma · 22/06/2012 16:21

they'll notice but its not bad!
everyone ends up with nicknames at school and you could do a lot worse than "legs"!

MammaTonic · 22/06/2012 16:24

Nah, it's not cruel. Its actually a very cute NN, IMO.

monkeymoma · 22/06/2012 16:26

p.s. I'ld love if that had been my nickname! If the child is likely to be short it might be a bit cruel, but in an average or tall family its quite cool!

MrsLetch · 23/06/2012 12:49

My Daughter's initials spell ELM. We sometimes call her 'Elmo' as a pet name at home.

No-one at school has ever noticed. I don't think they really do middle names at school. I wouldn't worry particularly as you say its a daughter, and she may well change her surname in 20 years anyway

GoodPhariseeofDerby · 23/06/2012 13:06

My DS2's initials spell FRAG. No one has noticed yet, middle names get tuned out a lot particularly when there is more than one.

Clary · 24/06/2012 00:24

I really don't think anyone will notice or know.

DS1 was almost ACE surname so we changed it to AEC but I cannot imagine it would come up. Equally, DS2 if a girl was going to be FAB so I insisted it shold be AFB (mainly because I liked the A name better hehe) but again, whyohwhy??? He was a boy anyway, so irrelevant).

LEGS is neither here nor there unless you make something of it.

Lannie33 · 24/06/2012 16:46

Its a non-issue. Even if someone notices, nothing wrong with LEGs. It's not like ZIT or FAT. A hot girl on the volleyball team was nicknamed Legs in high school, i thought it was flattering and wish people would've called me Legs.

QOD · 24/06/2012 16:49

My DD's would have been JAW so we added a second middle name.... Now at 13 she wishes she was a JAW as it would be funny ... You can't win!!

BackforGood · 24/06/2012 17:21

Somone will notice, at some point during school, but it's not a bad thing to be called - let's be honest, it could be a lot worse.
