Any opinions on which you prefer appreciated. Still cannot decide on a name! Baby is 2 weeks old today. Thanks.

Corinne and Clara both lovely too.

StepOutOfSpring · 13/06/2012 22:30

... and Cara is MUCH nicer than Cora.

Daya · 14/06/2012 11:04

Thanks for the replies.

I still like Coral best but a few people have mentioned there's a chain of bookies called this and it has made me hesitate and think about Cora and Corina.

Corina I would want to be pronounced Co-REEN-a so though Corrina might lead to Cor-RYN-a pronunciation?

Cora is obv favourite on here though! Just worried it is a little plain.

There is a chain of bookies I'm afraid and not a nice association to the name :( but Cora and coraline r lovely!!! :)

fluffygal · 14/06/2012 11:14

I like Cora, I would have used it for DD2 but my MIL is called Coral and I wouldn't want her to think I was naming my child after her so didn't use it! Wish I could have though....

fluffygal · 14/06/2012 11:15

Oh it is not plain at all, it's lovely!

bassingtonffrench · 14/06/2012 11:24

I love Cora and Coral.

Coral has the nature associations and is probably my favourite. easily mistaken for Carol though which might be a pain.

Cora is not plain but it is a little brief if that makes sense! I also like Cara and Clara

Corina is not nice.

TheRetroOwl · 14/06/2012 11:46

We're considering Coral too, and didn't know anything about the bookies. I wouldn't worry about it. If you like it the best, go for it.

Lannie33 · 14/06/2012 15:48

Cora. No question.

Idreamofsunshine · 14/06/2012 17:04

Coral. I'm surprised so many people like Cora.

RickGhastley · 14/06/2012 17:05

Cora or Coraline for sure.

Coral is a bookies and Corina sounds made up.

EduStudent · 14/06/2012 17:13

Cora.

We have a Coral bookies at the bottom of the road, I walk past it everyday, but I hadn't thought of it until you mentioned it.

minipie · 14/06/2012 17:41

Cora of those three

But I like Carine and Corinne too.

EllenParsons · 15/06/2012 00:37

Definitely Cora, which I love.

Didn't know there was one in Eastenders til this thread.

PercyFilth · 15/06/2012 00:49

The only one I would consider is Corinna. It is an ancient, classical name.

One r, two n's, pronounced Co-RINN-a

I think Cora is very faddy 'of the moment' and will date.

freerangeeggs · 15/06/2012 16:55

:(

Cora has been my favourite girls' name since I was a teenager and I'm quite gutted that it's now becoming so much more popular. I remember when everyone used to screw their noses up at it but now it seems to be very fashionable and I'm really sad that it's now being described as 'faddy', which I suppose it might be.

Very, very sad.

But anyway, I do like Cora obv, but Coral is lovely too. I don't like Corina, it's a bit dowdy to me but not a bad name. How about Coraline?

squoosh · 15/06/2012 17:02

Bit melodramatic freerange! Grin

I don't think it's that popular!

UnnamedFemaleProtagonist · 15/06/2012 17:04

Cora.

What about Carol? Wink

Sossiges · 15/06/2012 17:06

Coralie, very pretty

Cora for sure.

Rhubarbgarden · 15/06/2012 22:32

I love Coraline. But I'd choose Coral from your list.
