What do you think bout the name Blue for girl

My friend is pregnant and considering the name Blue still dont no what to make of it wondered what you think of it and what middle names would go well with it?

I think celebrity name copying is so passe

My friend has a DD called Blu.

Awful.

In australia / NZ it is a nickname for someone with ginger hair.

Poor kid will have to go to school and chances are will change it at 18 anyway.

As a middle name maybe - like in Bonnie Blue (Gone with the Wind)

Rhett got there first...and overruled his (D)W who wanted to call her Eugenie Victoria.

But Bonnie Blue Butler (BB) does roll of the tongue.

No not at all. Is a colour and not a particularly inspiring one. Scarlet or Magenta maybe but Blue ... nope.

Blue is sweet but Bluebell is better. Then you could call her Blue for short but she has a name for the bank manager that isnt quite so weird and is quite quaint. Or rather a proper name that is there to resort to, if she gets fed up.

Even Bonnie Blue was a nn - Eugenie Victoria was her given name - Bonnie Blue was a nn because her eyes were as 'blue as the bonny blue (Confederate) flag'. Sorry for being a pedant.

Blue is a bad name.

I knew a Blue when I was a teenager. She was a beautiful little girl. Parents were lovely but slightly hippy-ish/vegan/alternative types. She had a sister called Summerdaisy, all one word. Both really lovely kids though and a great family.

I kind of like it because of her.
