Boy short list

[bigyellow]

Hi

Our second DS is due any day now and we are still undecided about names. DS1 is called Arlo do we need a name that compliments that without being too 'out there'.

Please critique the following and let me know if you can think of any others:

Caspar
Jamie (james on the birth cert)
Edward
Nathaniel (nn Nate)
Elijah
Theodore (theo)
Jacob

Or any others...

Ta

Caspar and Elijah are my favourites from your list.

Ezra
Raphael (nn Rafe)

All are fine names but the following do not compliment Arlo's style:
James/Jamie
Edward
Nathaniel
Elijah
Theodore
Jacob

They are great but a bit run-of-the-mill compared to Arlo! I think they might all be in the top 50/100 names. I think you should avoid names ending in O (i.e. Theo) although I am dying to suggest Bruno to you.

Caspar is great choice: Arlo & Caspar. The suggestions of Ezra and Raphael are bang on too. Arlo & Ezra. Arlo & Raphael. Arlo & Rafe.

Other names I'd match with Arlo:
Arlo & Jasper (Jas, Jazz)
Arlo & Clement (Clem)
Arlo & Barnaby
Arlo & Bede
Aro & Cecil
Arlo & Cormac
Arlo & Cyrus
Arlo & Flynn
Arlo & Giles
Arlo & Heath
Arlo & Isaac
Arlo & Jesse
Arlo & Macsen (legit! - appellationmountain.net/2010/02/01/name-of-the-day-macsen/)
Arlo & Otis
Arlo & Rhett
Arlo & Rufus
Arlo & Silas
Arlo & Tavish

I agree that James, Edward, Jacob and Theo are a little dull in comparison with Arlo, which is lovely!

I like
Arlo & Caspar
Arlo & Cecil
Arlo & Otis
Arlo & Clement
Arlo & Quentin
Arlo & Rafe

Arlo and Reuben
Arlo and Seth
Arlo and Euan?

of your names I think Elijah works best, but Ezra would be my choice, popped into my head when I read your OP, so agree with PPs.

Arlo and Ezra - lovely!

I think Casper goes best with Arlo though Im not a particular fan of the name.

How about:
Maximus
Barnaby
Jonah
Isiah (sp?)
Saul
Zachary
Tate
Cormac
Shay
Travis
Wilbur

Arlo and Caspar from your list, OP.

Loving Ezra, Isaac, Otis and Seth from other posters.

Ezra and Seth are my very faves x Best of luck with the birth, btw!

Felix
Conrad
Devlin

I would choose Otis or Theo. Arlo is cool by the way

Great list, all nice names :)

I think Caspar or James would go best with Arlo.
