Find me the perfect name?

I've realised that most girls names I like fall in to 2 categories:

Old fashioned nature names - Pearl, Clementine, Iris
European girls names ending in A - Athena, Flavia, Valentina

I thought that maybe if I could find a name that fitted in to both categories it might be the perfect name!

can you think of any that fit in to both? I did think of Flora (old fashioned, nature, Roman goddess of flowers and spring and ends in A!) but... well the margarine thing holds me back!

So there's your challenge!

Estella?

Lexiesgirl · 14/05/2012 18:55

Hera (if only I'd been brave enough to use this one!) or Alexandra?

SwedishEdith · 14/05/2012 18:58

Helena
Rosa

ScorpionQueen · 14/05/2012 18:58

Seraphina. If I had another dd I would use the name, it is so beautiful.

ScorpionQueen · 14/05/2012 18:59

Or Sophia, Talia, Natalia
:)

Lexiesgirl · 14/05/2012 19:00

ScorpionQueen · 14/05/2012 19:00

SwedishEdith · 14/05/2012 19:02

Rita
Nina

Both can be given "proper" longer names

I like this brief. I'm seeing the map of Europe in my mind

Hmm, don't like Estella, Hera or Helena (Sorry!)

Love Rosa, definitely prefer it to Rose or Rosie!

Love Seraphina too but I think it would be shortened to Sera... which is Sarah, which was super popular for my age group and I therefore find it boring!

How is Seraphina a nature name? Just wikipedia'd Seraphina, Seraphine and Serafin and nothing!

When I say nature names I mean ones that are clearly nature names, I think I like to have a visual!

Clarice/Clarissa
Frida

popsicle1984 · 14/05/2012 19:05

None of these names seem to be obvious nature names! Well not to me anyway!

Oh. I missed the nature bit Blush

catinboots · 14/05/2012 19:05

I know a Seraphina who is shortened to Effie

DottieRose · 14/05/2012 19:05

How about Juniper or Willow

SquishyCinnamonSwirls · 14/05/2012 19:06

Rosina

SwedishEdith · 14/05/2012 19:06

Nigella!

popsicle1984 · 14/05/2012 19:07

Juniper and Willow aren't old fahioned, European or ending in A! It's hard to fins names that fit all the categories!
