Twin boys - names to go with a difficult surname

DH is half Egyptian. His surname is very Egyptian-sounding, five syllables long, and it's hard to get the pronunciation right from seeing it written down (and vice versa), so the twin boys we're expecting will have a lifetime of having to spell out their surname. I wanted to balance that out by giving them short, simple first names that everyone can come to grips with easily. DH is not close to his dad so wants an English, not Egyptian, name. Therefore, I was thinking about short, simple English names (like DH has) - but preferably not ones that are totally boring. One or two syllables. Preferably not two names starting with the same letter. The ONLY boy's name I like is Jacob, but that has been vetoed as DH's father's name is the Egyptian version of Jacob. Help!

You could give your babies your surname? Dh could change to yours if it matters to you that you all have the same name

Personally I really like that my son has a strange first name as it means when I ring the school I never have to say/ spell our annoyingly long surname Grin
