Third dc on the way - we have the girls name, its been in the running each time but we have two ds.
Dh and i rarely agree on names, have in the past resorted to naming various pets with some of his more outlandish suggestions to prevent them being visited on a child.
We have a boys name we both quite like - Skarloey.
Too many pregnancy hormones and sleep deprived nights or does it grow on you?

Never heard of it.

What about Karl? Or Louis?

Thumbwitch · 06/05/2012 15:02

Train. Twin with Rheneas. I thought they were Welsh trains though

LineRunner · 06/05/2012 15:13

Well it does sound a bit 'Celtic fringe'. Actually it's growing on me. But I've got PMT.

susiedaisy · 06/05/2012 15:14

Hormones

gingerchick · 06/05/2012 15:17

think theyre scottish

Thumbwitch · 06/05/2012 15:22

Skarloey and Rheneas - they have respective twin brothers called Tallylyn and Dolgoch (DEFinitely Welsh names there then, no?)

gingerchick · 06/05/2012 15:23

ok sorry! Blush

lemonaid · 06/05/2012 15:24

Hormones. Extremely hormonal hormones, at that. Use it for a pet.

Thumbwitch · 06/05/2012 15:25

oh no need to apologise, Gingerchick! Nor for the Blush - I wasn't posting to disagree with you, more for my own verification that my brain hadn't completely gone to mush :)

I keep reading this as "is Hormones a good name", obviously it is not, but it is no worse than Skarloey. I take it Skarloey will be breast fed until he or she is 33 and blwd on lentils.

McKayz · 06/05/2012 15:27

Skarloey is a train.

MadameChinLegs · 06/05/2012 15:31

Only if your current sons are called Marmaduke and Hootenanny.

Blatherskite · 06/05/2012 15:32

Hormones.

gingerchick · 06/05/2012 15:32

thumbwitch Wink

GetDownNesbitt · 06/05/2012 17:23

If it's twins, you could call the other one Rheneas.

I have decided it that I like it. It would suit a rather lonely Scots lighthouse keeper.

Skarloey the Lonely Scots Lighthouse Keeper. By the Rev LineRunner.

abbypumpkin · 06/05/2012 19:00

Never heard of it. Is it as it looks? Skar- low-ee? If you both agree on it then use it.

benne81 · 06/05/2012 19:20

Hormones - sorry

JugglingWithTangentialOranges · 06/05/2012 19:21

I don't know - I think the "scar" bit would put me off if nothing else.

If you're not put off by all this, then go for it of course !

KatieScarlett2833 · 06/05/2012 19:24

It is NOT Scottish

jeez Grin

thegreylady · 06/05/2012 19:24

daft!

DontmindifIdo · 06/05/2012 19:28

Hormones. What are your other DS's called, we might be able to suggest something a little less trainy.
