Sukey

I like as a nickname for Susan. Despite inevitable pukey or 'suck' connotations - I think it is soft and stylish. Think living in a cosmopolitan area one can get away with it especially with increase in no of Japanese Sukis around.

And the popularity of true blood

Well if you want it from the horse's mouth, this was my nickname, and although I liked to use it instead of my real name when I was a kid, (novelty value) I don't like it at all now.

It's fine in Japanese spelling or meaning or whatever but not like this. Smile

Sorry. Susan is good though...go with that, and the nickname can come and go and if she hates it, she can ditch it like I did!

I don't like it. Sorry.
Too cutesy pie for my tastes.

I agree with pictish. I just think of the nursery rhyme.

Sukey is going to get blowjob gags, fact.

Suki is a much better idea. I like it.

5madthings · 01/05/2012 10:50

we liked Suikhi but spelt like that rather thay sukey, i 'think' that is the indian spelling as we knew a little indian girl with that name and that is how she spelt it :)

BBQJuly · 01/05/2012 14:48

Fine if you use Susan as full name :)

thegreylady · 01/05/2012 17:00

I love Sukey however it is spelt. The only one I have known used it as nn for Susannah.

Badgerina · 01/05/2012 17:08

Will it be pn. with a long /oo/ sound like "food", or a short like "book"? I LOATHE the short /oo/ sound (like Bill uses in True Blood) it just makes me CRINGE.

I think Suki is a MUCH better spelling.
