Thinking Tom, Charlie or Joe - but anything more imaginative? Thank you!

Solid and quirky you say?

How about Christopher Biggins?

ripsishere · 16/04/2012 14:53

magnus if you won't consider Duncan.
Quinyn is daft. Quentin is daft, but your DHs spelling is dafter.

Agree that Quintyn is an odd spelling, but what is daft about Quentin, ripsishere (we have a rather lovely 5 year old one Smile).

I also like Dexter, Eric and Tobias. Or, less widely used these days, how about Michael, Peter or John?

Another vote for Wilf, love that name Smile

Socy · 17/04/2012 08:58

William for solid and if you want a bit quirky call him Billy or Bill

MummyPocPoc · 17/04/2012 15:15

Herbert - a bit stodgy, but if you call him Herb, that is kinda cool and funky I think. Actually, I think I may nick this for DS3 who is due next week! Grin

seeker · 17/04/2012 15:29

As I said down thread, ds's football coach called them a load of dozy Herberts last week. And nobody said "eh? What does he mean?" don't do it.

redrubyshoes · 17/04/2012 15:31

My Mum used to call me a 'mucky Herbert' when I came home covered in mud.

HandMadeTail · 17/04/2012 15:33

My grandfather was called Herbert. He was lovely! He was quite shy, but very funny.

He was known as Bert, and as MummyPocPoc has said, Herb or Herbie could be quite cool as well.

LaurieFairyCake · 17/04/2012 15:35
