Spotted a mistake - "Pollya" should have been "Polly". The other spellings are as printed.

And one more: "Katden" should read "Kayden"

Blade-Ryan? Interesting choice!

None of these people know how to spell Eloise.

Oh sweet moses.

Jovi? Wonder if he's named after Bon Grin

Macorly-John!!!!
Vanesa is nearly so lovely, if only it had that extra 's' it would be the best of the bunch!
Alexis-Louise is a bit of a mouthful - I wonder if they call her by her full name all the time, or if she is just Lexi.

Don't you find that it is only a certain demographic that enter these competitions hence the type of names given?

thisisyesterday · 14/04/2012 18:58

I try really hard not to be unkind about names, after all if you love it that's really what matters.

but Draydon???

PermaLice · 14/04/2012 19:15

I've no idea of the demographic. The paper came from a medium-sized town. I assume the names are the ones the children usually go by, rather than necessarily being BC names.

I thought there were some rather staid, traditional names amongst the girls: Kathleen, Evelyn, Harriet, Connie; and that most names were fairly unexceptional. And then a few that are a little more .. um .. distinctive. So perhaps not an atypical sort of distribution of styles?

Violet-Star is all sorts of crazy awesome.

Faye really stands out. I love it.

Blade-Ryan is an interesting choice. It reminds me of Dodgeball ("This is Blade. This is Laser. This is Blazer. This is Michel").
