I am 12 weeks pregnant and we are thinking of names. We think we have a girl's name sorted- will either be Nina Rose or Eleanor Rose.
We are finding boys names much harder however, due to the following constraints:
1)Our surname is double-barelled and so we think a shorter name would sound best and also save the poor child from getting writing cramp!
2)Our surname begins with 'Sh' so names ending in this eg Josh are a no-go. for this reason we discounted Imogen for a girl.
3)We love classic names- my favourites are Rory (sadly cannot be used as immediate family member called this) and Nicholas which I love but DH has discounted as he thinks the child will get called 'knicker-less' 
. We like William but it is sooo popular. Also Oliver but close friend just named baby this.
4)I am not keen on names ending in -ie, eg, Alfie, Freddie though I know they are popular.
5)Not keen on modern names eg Dexter, Jayden/Hayden, Kai etc
- Nothing too upper-class sounding (I am thinking of Hugo, Tristan, etc) as although we have a double-barelled surname we live in a not very well-to-do area in the North East!
If anyone has managed to read through my ridiculous list of requirements I would love some help!
