Apart from the obvious Hettie does anyone have any other nick names for Henrietta or a slight variation on Henrietta?

I have a friend called Henriette and but she is Dutch so it's pronounouced Henrietty, thus her nickname is Yeti. I think it's a wonderful nickname!

Ree is quite cool. So is Harry, which is mentioned upthread - I wouldn't have thought of that.

Hettie is nice too.

Etta makes me think of Basque seperatists

Janoschi · 15/04/2012 00:06

I know a Henrietta who was always Hen or Henry

MockCroc · 15/04/2012 19:46

I like Nettie as a shortening. It is cuter than Hettie IMO. Lovely name Henrietta!

vigglewiggle · 15/04/2012 19:48

I'm with mock, I think I would tend towards Nettie as a natural rather than an official NN.

HandMadeTail · 15/04/2012 19:49

Hattie.

BrieAddicted · 15/04/2012 23:18

The one I know is Nettie. She is 92. Smile

doctordwt · 16/04/2012 00:58

Yeti?! So you could go for word association and call her Sasquatch :)

doctordwt · 16/04/2012 00:59

Or BIGFOOT

pigletpower · 16/04/2012 14:27

We have a Hattie Hope.Hattie on the BC not Harriet.Hettie is a NN for Henrietta.

Cewafwb · 16/04/2012 17:42

Hetty is very usual for Henrietta - I love it, hubby doesn't want Hetty the Hen living in the house!
