Hiya had a name come to me rather strangely in a dream last night lol

What do you think of Joshua Noah Higgins?

There's something about it I really like but not sure if having the same sound at the end of both names works?

Opinions please,........

I like both names on their own, but together I personally don't think they flow very well

Nagoo · 20/03/2012 14:57

one or the other.

IMHO :)

birdofthenorth · 20/03/2012 14:59

I like it.

EllenParsons · 20/03/2012 15:02

Both great names, especially Joshua which I haven't been hearing around as much lately. I think it sounds fresher than Noah.

As a full name I'm not sure it really flows because they have the same ending sound, but the combo isn't awful or anything.

VegimalStyle · 20/03/2012 15:04

Doesn't flow. Something like Joshua James flows better IMO.

FilterCoffee · 20/03/2012 15:07

I'm afraid I think you're right about having the same sound at the end of both names - don't think they go well together for this reason.

How about

James Noah, Jacob Noah, Jeremiah Luke, Joshua Henry, Joshua Matthew?

squoosh · 20/03/2012 15:21

That's a whole lotta Old Testament

nizlopi · 20/03/2012 15:40

squoosh depends which Joshua she's going for. Could just be a whole lotta Bible ;)

PomBearAtTheGatesOfDawn · 20/03/2012 16:09

Joshua Nehemiah flows a bit better than Noah if you want the Biblical N.
Joshua Samuel, Joshua Solomon, Joshua Ezekiel, Joshua Nathaniel?

VegimalStyle · 20/03/2012 16:16

Joshua Nebuchadnezzar?

Kardashingkym · 20/03/2012 20:17

I have a Joshua Noah so am a bit biased but I think it's a fab combo!

justhayley · 20/03/2012 20:36

Thanks for your opinions - lol I actually didn't think if it as being so biblical, oh well might come in handy if I want him in a church school lol.

Two of the most over-used names in recent history. Do your son a favour by giving him a name that will make him think you actually put some thought and effort into choosing it.

NagoosBeenCleaningWindows · 22/03/2012 08:10

Bad day CaoNiMa? Wink

abbypumpkin · 22/03/2012 10:11

They do have a similar ending but I don't think it sounds bad. I think havnig different number of syllables in each makes it work fine. Bare in mind that you're rarely going to use both together anyway. I think it's a lovely combination. I love the name Joshua and although it is in the top ten I personally wouldn't let that put me off. People always say that they don't want their kid to be one of several in their class but they're only at school for a short period of their life span and I doubt he'll go to work and have to wear a name badge saying 'Joshua X'!

justhayley · 08/04/2012 14:32

Thank u. I'm now 37 weeks and still love it, it's my current front runner. I don't mind if a name is top 10 just means lots of people will like it Grin
