Ok, you are all probably getting sick of my name threads, but still can't decide. Had decided on Posy, but my mum has made me worried that it sounds like a "poseur".

My mum suggested Beattie (which is derived from Beatrice, but because of Herbie, we couldn't call her beatrice if he isn't called Herbert). Do anyone have strong feelings against this name, anyone like it.

For those who don't already know my other children are called Herbie and Ivy. Ideally i would like a name that has the eeee sound on the end, to tie in with Herbie and Ivy. Soooo what do you think of Beattie.

Thankyou, she is 27 weeks but she is healthy and larger than an average baby of that size is normally. After she was born, she had lots of tests carried out and it appears that she has no health problems. So we have got our fingers crossed that the positive results will continue. We have been told that if she continues to be as healthy and well as she is now we will have her home in about 7 weeks. So it is slightly chaotic at the moment, the two oldest children are with my parents while my stays with baby and i at the hospital.

That sounds very positive, Genevieve is lovely, I second that suggestion.

Just wanted to say congratulations and hope she can come home soon. Smile

I really like Posey (prefer that spelling). Really don't like Beattie.

Posey (or Posy) Beatrice is a really pretty combination.

Baby and i are doing fine or should i say Ophelia and i are doing fine. We have decided on Ophelia for baby no.3, with her full name as Ophelia Posy and then our surname. Hope everyone likes it, you have really helped in my name choosing, i still love the name posy but we decided it would be nice for her to have a grown up name like Ivy has. So yes i will be able to return home tomorrow and reunite with my two older kiddies and baby Ophelia will be home in about 7 weeks.

I like it. It reminds me of "Playing Beatie Bow" an Australian children's book. One of the characters is called Beatie here

Just makes me think of the department store but that's not around now. Anyway it was a very nice shop!
