Ermmmm NO!

Sound like a Persian cat.

HolyNoSheDittantBatman · 27/02/2012 23:40

Fluffence? nn Fluffy?

No.

(unless it's an animal of the fluffy variety e.g. cat/dog/rabbit then it's a great name)

BuntyPenfold · 27/02/2012 23:40

Yes, why not? if you like it, use it. Don't divulge your choice before the birth;keep schtum until you are introducing the baby.
Lots of nice nn that you can definitely choose for them , as a bunch of school friends will always defer to your wishes.

'Don't divulge your choice before the birth;keep schtum until you are introducing the baby'

and then you can really enjoy the Grin Shock Confused faces of friends and relatives

TheCrunchUnderfoot · 27/02/2012 23:53

Haha.

Not really.

It just popped into my head. I kind of like it though. It's almost a name, isn't it?? Like if Terry is short for Terrence then if you have a hamster called Fluffy the presumably that's short for Fluffence.

Grin

On the other hand I can think of many names which would be vastly improved by the addition of a Fluffence.

Delia Fluffence Smith
Jeremy Fluffence Irons
Alistair Fluffence Campbell
JKF Rowling

Bunty F Penfold salutes you.

HolyNoSheDittantBatman · 28/02/2012 00:08

It's growing on me...

Giyadas · 28/02/2012 00:23

I would be very disappointed not to see this on the next 'what do you call girl bits' thread.

TheCrunchUnderfoot · 28/02/2012 07:45

It calls for a remix of a classic track - 'Dont Mess With My Fluff-Fence'

I have a Fluffence, it's an old famliy name. What are you all trying to say, exactly?

Iamweasel · 28/02/2012 09:01

Where I come from a fluff is a fart

It sounds like a cross between that and flatulence, so I think an ideal name for DS when he's been eating beans

TheCrunchUnderfoot · 28/02/2012 09:34

Psammead but if it's Old Family would that be Fluffence pronounced Farqs, like St. John pronounced Sinjun? I quite like that one. But don't get me started on all the Jayden Blayden Fluffden modern nonsense.

Psammead · 28/02/2012 09:40

It's pronounced 'Bob'. Commoners.

Well, you made me chuckle! A real belly one too.

DaisySteiner · 28/02/2012 19:50

Personally, if I was a registrar presented with 'Fluffence' I would be on the phone to social services pdq Grin
