Twins - Henry & Harriet?

Hello, I've been lurking and reading all of your brilliant posts for inspiration, thank you! Can I ask for some specific name help please?

I'm 33 weeks pregnant with twins, a boy and a girl. Very excited, but getting really anxious about names..

The only two names we both love are Henry and Harriet, but really think these are too similar to be used together. Particularly as I really like the nickname Harri for Harriet.

So.. Do you agree they sound too similar to be used together? Any other new suggestions for us?

My number one choice for boys name would be Milo but DH absolutely, completely and utterly hates it. (Can you tell, he's made his feelings very clear?!)

Other names we like (although none as much as the above..):

Amelia (not that concerned that this is so popular, like Millie as a nick name, but sadly, makes me think of Millie Dowler)
Flora (not too worried about the margarine connection, but don't love it as much as Harriet)
Poppy (like it lots, but a bit worried it's a bit 'flighty')
Lola (I originally loved this and DH hated it, now he's softened to it and I'm not so sure.)

William (feels a bit too sensible)
Archie (this is DH's absolutely favourite. I can't get over not having a full name on his birth certificate and can't quite bring myself to inflict Archibald on him.)
Monty (I love the feel of a WW2 fighter pilot. However, again, can't get over not having a full name on his birth certificate and can't quite bring myself to inflict Montgomery etc on him.)

So, any new suggestions gratefully received! Thank you.

I agree that while Harriet and Henry are lovely names on their own, they are not a good combination.

Henry and Lola is not too bad. I have a little reservation since Lolita is a pet name for Lola.

What do you think of
Leila
Leonie
Lara
Laurel
Florence
Lucy
Letitia
Charlotte (Lottie)

Normally I don't care if names are a bit matchy, same initials etc, but in this case Henry is quite a serious name, he could easily be nicknamed Harry and then you have two Harrys! I love Harriet though, much prefer to Henry. Harri and Archie is really cute! Love that combo.
Harriet and Benjamen
Harriet and James
Something traditional but not William - too royal!

My daughter's name is Harriet so I'm obviously biased!.

I call my children by the cats names and vice versa in confusion, so I wouldn't worry too much about having similar sounding names.

Just thought I'd let you know, we went with Harriet and George in the end. They were born at 36 weeks and are utterly gorgeous (obviously v biased).

Middle names still slightly under negotiation but I may have been allowed Milo for George and we have decided on Ivy for Harriet (my grandmother's name).

Thanks so much for all of your suggestions.

I don't think they're too similar (especially for a boy/girl combo)if you love both then do it. Bare in mind that they will prob only be referred to together whilst they're children living at home. For most of their lives (as adults) they will be separate and people won't realise that they have similar names. Although the names may have derived from the same place they're not the same name.
You've already answered your own question by saying there are no names that compare.
In terms of calling them the wrong thing as suggested by a PP, my OH has previously called DD1 my name and the cat's name (which is woof!) so I don't think it matters that they are similar.
