My DP has decided he really liked this for a boy but I'm not sure. Bear in mind surname is also begins with C and also has 5 letters. (and is another word for criminal, so one could say a policeman might chase such a person)

Is it a bit Hmm?

I like it. Initially thought of Chase from 24.

mrsshears · 31/01/2012 16:52

It makes me think of the 80's comedian Duncan norville "oohh chase me chase me"

FloydieDoydie · 31/01/2012 17:59

Yeah, I'm definitely not going for it.

It would be far too ripe for mickey taking - along the lines of "hahahaha well your going to had to be a copper with a name like that!" plus the "chase me chase me" variety.

Sorry DP!

He really hates Daniel though, he says he knew a right idiot called Daniel so he wont even consider it Sad

I think it sounds American too. Not that that is a bad thing!

However, I think with your surname it would be hilarious - not really the kind of talking point you want for a child!

NO.

HillyWallaby · 01/02/2012 07:12

It's very American. Very American names tend to get sneered at here, because they all sound a bit made up. I don't hate it, but I would assume you were American.

HappyAsEyeAm · 01/02/2012 12:09

The first Chase I'd heard of was in 24 (series 3 IIRC).

And then there's Chase Crawford.

Its not my cup of tea - too American sounding for me. But on the plus side, everyone woudl know how to spell it.
