Huey??

Ok, still looking for 'the' boys name for dc3 due in a few weeks. Thought we had it down to two but now not sure (not least thanks to reactions on here - all v helpful!). And today read 'Huey' in the paper (talking about the one from th Fun Lovin Criminals) and thought hmmm, maybe I really like that. Not keen on Hugh, but think it is 'gh'-ness that I don't like rather than the sound.

So, any views on Huey anyone?

I'd always want to ask where Dewey and Lewie were. It's a duckling name.

Hugh is pretty bad, but Huey is just unforgiveable. Sounds like vomiting.

I quite like it, but I've just gone into full-blown Huey Lewis and the News mode, and am now humming 'If This Is It' and 'The Power of Love'.

Hughie is not uncommon in Scotland, think that "Huey"is a bad spelling though,

Lol I'm childish but I thought of pooey hughy, & if i think it & im all grown up I'm sure kids in the playground will - sorry!
How about Hugo and u can call him hughy at home until he's 3 :)

Sorry, but that is the first thing I thought of as well. OH used to say that someone would be "talking to Huey on the big white telephone"

I'm not keen on Hugh or Hughie either - Hughie Green anyone?

Well, my first thought was of a helicopter: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bell_Huey_family - which either marks me as a geek or old (or both). But at least that association is better than a bird or vomit.

I don't often look at baby_names (my DC are adults now), but I've read sufficient to know that it really isn't easy to choose a name.
