Yes

TidyDancer · 27/01/2012 23:07

Nope, not at all. I think they are lovely together. :)

CointreauVersial · 27/01/2012 23:09

Love Ava, but it doesn't sit well with Oliver. IMVHO

CecilyP · 28/01/2012 00:43

Written down they look different. However, if you are shouting them, which you will be in few years, they do sound very similar.

NoHunIntended · 28/01/2012 00:52

Fine by me!

FannyBazaar · 28/01/2012 00:54

Nope, would Oliver ever be Ollie?

whostolemyname · 28/01/2012 07:44

Not at all, lovely names!

Iheartpasties · 28/01/2012 07:46

Oli and Ava would be fine, otherwise maybe too many v's.

randomimposter · 28/01/2012 07:46

yes for me, sorry :(

specialagentmeh · 28/01/2012 07:48

No, they're ok

SpanglyGiraffe · 28/01/2012 07:51

No I think they're both lovely, and go well together. My DSIS & I have very similar names, but it's never been a problem.

MigratingCoconuts · 28/01/2012 07:56

do the 'shout upstairs' test.

see if they sound the same.

MigratingCoconuts · 28/01/2012 08:25

and... Ollie and Ava do sound different Wink

Kveta · 28/01/2012 08:29

sound fine to me :)

Montsti · 28/01/2012 09:14

I don't think they're too similar..

WoollyHead · 28/01/2012 17:29

Ollie and Ava is much better Smile

PieMistress · 28/01/2012 21:05

No, I don't think they are too similar. I'd also think long term rather than when they are kiddies and you are saying their names together, go with the names you love! :)

SoozyWoozy · 28/01/2012 21:10

I like both, not that similar (unlike the siblings Elise, Caprice & Reece I know...)
