I know two Jo/Chris couples, who both have a son called Daniel.
I also know 4 sibling sets with a Jo(e)/Chris.
And 5 more that include two or more of Sam, Tom, Ben and Amy
And 3 pairs of Oliver/Isobel brothers and sisters, but then they are some of the most common names in use at the moment.

When I was at school, every Nick had a brother called Simon.

Amongst DC's friend, I know several Sam and Ollie combos.

I know a couple of Ann & Barry combos which is especially ticklesome to people who learnt to read in Irish primary schools in the 80's

BikeRunSki · 27/01/2012 12:51

My own children are in one of those combos too btw. .

Matthews had sisters called Claire, and Claires had sisters called Louise.

My parents used to get a couple of cards 'from John, Ann and the girls' every Christmas and not know who they were from.

Joes, Lukes and Lewises are brothers to each other and to Ellies and Sophies.

Graces have brothers called Oliver or Jacob.

Toms always seem to have sisters with uber-feminine names like Annabel or Emily.

5inthebed · 27/01/2012 13:03

Lucys brother is called Thomas

Daniel has a brother called Aaron

rachel234 · 27/01/2012 13:04

Graces have brothers called Oliver

Yes, because Grace has been THE most popular girls name and Oliver THE most popular boys name, so it is statistically very likely that their are many sibling sets with these names.

Also, parents tend to choose similar style names for their children and some parents are more concerned about popularity than others.

TheOriginalSteamingNit · 27/01/2012 13:06

Tom's sister is Molly, Rosie or Lucy.

TheOriginalSteamingNit · 27/01/2012 13:06

(and yes, of course you're right rachel 234, but I still find it a fun game....)

Jack and Lucy often end up as brother and sister.

I have a Levi and a Saul and have heard of two other families with the same combo since.

TuesdayNightClub · 27/01/2012 14:11

I know of at least three Lucy & Catherine (various spellings) sisters. Could just be coincidence as neither name is that popular.

Also know of various Oscar & Max brothers.

I know a family with a Levi and Sol(omon) 3boys They have 3 sisters.

shouldnotbehere · 27/01/2012 14:11

I know four sets of sisters, with the names Sarah and Claire. They are all born in the 80s.

shouldnotbehere · 27/01/2012 14:13

TheOriginalSteamingNit - you're right, I know a Tom with a sister called Emily.

TheOriginalSteamingNit · 27/01/2012 14:13

YY to Oscar and Max - and I've never met a Felix with only one surname.

BikeRunSki · 27/01/2012 14:14

ooh, remembered another one - 3 sets of Emma and Sarah at school in the late 70s/80s.

I appreciated the statistics of very popular names ending up in sibling sets, but find it interesting when mum, dad and DC have the same name.
