Many of these sound American and they didn't have a Queen Victoria. My family tree has hundreds of Victorian names and they're ALL very conventional. It was the following generations which went mad with new names.

I've come across someone my sort of age (40s) who had aunts with definite boys names - think it was steve and Gary (but it was 20 odd years ago so I could be a bit wrong) - the parents had been hoping for boys and chosen boys names. When thwarted by nature they just used the boys names anyway because they liked them.

Oh and I was looking up something yesterday about local history and came across somebody with the first name (as inscribed on his headstone) of 'Nump'. Ok so it was more a Tudor/Stewart name than Victorian but can you imagine being called Nump!!!

In the 1890s section number 106 is Julius and then 107 is August !! Weird coincidence or ...... ?
