I have an orla! Im thinking for the next one maybe Skye or finnlay, there were another 2 choices but i cant for the life of me think! ill come back if i remember :)

HappyHugs · 14/01/2012 22:30

Suppose it depends if you want an Irish name again (as my list) or are open to broadening it. Orla means golden princess, in case you like the meanings to complement each other.

Not particularly tied to an irish name, our surame is irish (ish) so it goes nicely... i like short is names ending in vowels but i'm conscious that lots I like are very similar/rhyme-y too Orla, quite like Alexa for a girl and maybe Innes for a boy- missed them from my OP

My favourite Irish name is Fionnuala, I couldn't use it though as we have no Irish connections. I think the nicknames Nuala and Finn are both lovely too.

Dilligaf81 · 14/01/2012 22:41

Ive got an Orla too.....She started as Amy and 9 mths later we changed it Blush
I think Orla and Anya would be too rhymy IMHO which is something I really dont like.

I liked Oscar which if your surname is what i think would make them sound like reporters - which I quite like.

I also like Tadhg for a boy and Gulliver but I apparently am a weirdo.

PeanutButterCupCake · 14/01/2012 23:58

Clara is lovely Smile

flopsy1974 · 15/01/2012 06:51

I know siblings who are Orla and Erin Smile

Pigglesticks · 15/01/2012 06:53

Paula? Grin

LittleDonkin · 15/01/2012 07:19

I was going to say Erin. My DD is Erin and if I have another DD she will be either Lois or Thea.

seeker · 15/01/2012 07:20

Patrick.

CailinDana · 15/01/2012 07:26

Shauna
Naoise (pronounced nee-sha)
Clara and Lois are lovely. Not keen on Gray though.

AThingInYourLife · 15/01/2012 07:30

Naoise is a boy's name, BTW.

How about Ciarán for a boy?

CailinDana · 15/01/2012 07:57

I've heard people using Naoise for girls too AThing - although originally it was a boy's name.

AThingInYourLife · 15/01/2012 08:03

I have too, but that doesn't make it right :o

There's an Indian girl's name Neesha. But the Irish name Naoise is for boys.

KenDoddsDadsDog · 15/01/2012 08:22

Aine ( Onya)
Niamh
Aoife
Catriona
Nuala

I too have an (irish) Orla and would choose another Irish name.
Anya just sounds like you are calling your DDs after handbag designers.
