DD1 is Eden. Totally suits her and i love it.

Going for 20 week scan tomorrow and if baby cooperates we will find out if we are having a boy or a girl. I have variously considered the names Rowan and Cameron for a girl but recently stumbled across the name Elodie which i absolutely adore.

My question is, is having Eden and Elodie too many "E"'s?

lyn if you're wondering about the meaning, Behind the Name is the most reliable online source when it comes to the actual documented meaning and origin of a name.

It lists Elodie as a possible French variant of the Visigothic name Alodia, which is derived from two elements that together mean "wealth from a foreign land".

Here's the link: www.behindthename.com/name/alodia

I like Elodie

I wouldn't worry about the 'same initial' thing. They are likely to be under the same roof only for a few short years.

Agree about 'Behind the Name', definitely the best source for name information and always my first port of call.

I really like it -Dh and my mum both looked at me as if I was mad when I suggested it and my friend asked if I had made the name up ! Smile

PercyFilth · 11/01/2012 00:28

So where did you first come across it, magenta ?

magentastardust · 11/01/2012 17:06

I can't actually think now ! I want to say the baby names book but it was probably the names board here !!

ATruthUniversallyAcknowledged · 11/01/2012 17:34
