Do you like it or do you mis read it as Anna?

I don't know. Reminds me of Amniocentesis or some company name. I prefer Anna.

JeanBodel · 06/01/2012 17:26

Every single person who reads it will think it is Anna. In this country anyway, I don't know if it's common in other countries.

RillaBlythe · 06/01/2012 17:29

It's a familiar name to me having gone to school with lots of Asian girls. There was one in my year at primary & two in my year at secondary. I like it, although I did read Anna initially on your thread title.

SubordinateClaws · 07/01/2012 03:03

I like it. You could add an "h" on the end to differentiate it from Anna. The "Amna" I know spells it "Aamnah".

hohohoshedittant · 07/01/2012 04:17

I think it's too similar to Anna, both written down and said aloud (is it Am-na?)

nooka · 07/01/2012 05:33

I did misread it as Anna.

mathanxiety · 07/01/2012 08:14

I misread it but I do that all the time. I like the idea of adding the H at the end for clarity.

JestersHat · 07/01/2012 10:20

Too similar to Anna I'm afraid.

SoupDragon · 07/01/2012 10:22

Misread it as Anna - or rather thought it was a typo. My next thought was that it was an Asian name so I guess it would depend on what your surname is as to what my first assumption would be.

Bunbaker · 07/01/2012 10:25

I didn't misread it. I assume it is a name from another culture? If that is the case I don't really have an opinion. If it is just a made up name to look "different" then you might get a bit of stick. I agree about adding an H on the end.
