I suspect i have a case of raging pregnancy hormones as this is nothing like my other boy choices Grin
Could this ever work?

Only if you use 'the King' as a middle name!!

Sorry - just dont think it would / should / could work!

befuzzled · 01/01/2012 20:03

BabyDubsEverywhere · 01/01/2012 20:03

I know someone who compromised by using the name Presley after her hubby insisted on Elvis for her entire pregnancy. He's a bit of a fan...

Hassled · 01/01/2012 20:07

I love Elvis with all my heart but please, don't even think about it. He will hate you for it.

Sparklingbrook · 01/01/2012 20:08

No. Think of the poor child at school. Sad

LaFilleSurLePont · 01/01/2012 20:09

No,no and a thousand times no.

PaigeTurner · 01/01/2012 20:17

Elvis was on my list, but have decided to get a sausage dog in my old age and give him the name instead. I'd say hormones involved here.

NoHunIntended · 02/01/2012 17:27

I know an adult Elvis (in his thirties), once you know someone with the name, any associations with anything else do fade. I think it's a great name.

Polkadotfanatic · 02/01/2012 18:01

Behave! :)

staylucky · 02/01/2012 21:58

Ace! But then i'm a bit tempted for Ringo Grin

LynetteScavo · 02/01/2012 22:00

Well, I like it.

I started a thread on it once.

Didn't do Elvis Costello any harm, did it?

rachel1970 · 02/01/2012 22:12

I too know an Elvis (teenager) and I now only think of him when I hear his name. As NoHun said, any previous associations go away. I think it is a cool name - go for it.

Bunbaker · 02/01/2012 22:13

"Didn't do Elvis Costello any harm, did it?"

That's just his stage name. His real name is Declan McManus.

AnotherMincepie · 02/01/2012 23:55

It's your hormones!

How about Elliot or Elias?

lisaro · 03/01/2012 00:07

Only if you feed him burgers and pills.

MumblingFanjoChops · 03/01/2012 00:24

It's a bad idea fading previous associations or not. In my opinion I feel it is one of those names that even if you really like the sound of it you have to back away. Especially in this day and age it just seems a bit lost. But then again some of the names registered for children last year included a boy called You,Jesuslovesme and Willieboy... I thought someone was supposed to stop these children from the humiliation of terrible names, they must have called in sick? Grin

mrsmplus3 · 03/01/2012 00:26

Love it!

lisaro · 03/01/2012 00:27

(Holds up a megaphone) 'Oy, pregnant lady - step away from the name.' Don't worry, Mrs you'll think of something perfect.

seeker · 03/01/2012 00:44

If you want somebody in your life called Elvis, eithr get q cat or change your own name. You must see you can't possibly saddle another unconsenting human being with the name.

Oh god no. No.

mathanxiety · 03/01/2012 08:07

It's a fabulous name for a crocodile.
