And that's not Pauline btw!

After a chat with DH last night we've created a very short shortlist:

Juno
Asha
Indi

Middle name will be Raven.
Surname starts with H, one syllable.

We're looking for something interesting with at least 2 syllables...

Any other ideas people? Smile

Well.... I am thinking names at the moment and, although I normally go for v v classic/popular names (I have a Matilda), very high up on my list is Kezia (or you can have Keziah), pronounced kez-ee-uh (its old T, I have a relative called it as their mad mad parents went for Job's daughters - Jemima, Kezia and, seriously, Keren-Heppuch, shortened to Keren).

But, point is, Kezia Raven is nice and ion the quirky side.

Love Raven. Can't you make that her first name? Grin

Asha is sweet. Really dislike Juno and Indi, sorry.

I'd love to call her Raven EatMe but I'd hate her to get called Rave or Ray or something, especially given where we live, it'd sound awful in the local accent!

Some of these are cool thanks, liking Sage and Bracken... Will see what DH thinks... Keep em coming ladies; your ideas are invaluable! Smile

Hesper (the evening star)
Elunia (a Polish contraction of Elizabeth)
Nimue (Nimuway - name for the Lady of the Lake)
Ariadne (very holy one)
Calanthe (beautiful flower)
Cassia (pn Kasha - same meaning as Kezia)

Cassia Raven and Elunia Raven sound rather nice.

Asha seems to be very popular and fairly mainstream at the moment.

I'd think Indi was an abbreviation for India or Indigo or Indira or something.

For a one syllable surname, I think a three syllable first name works best, two sounds a bit short.

Having said that, Ines, Iseult, Anouk - or Anoushka. Cassandra, Hermione, Imogen.

lottiegb · 13/12/2011 09:28

p.s. Joasia is a Polish name pr. Yo-ash-a.
