Just wanted to know if anyone knows anybody called Atticus who is old enough to have opinion on his name. If so do they like it.

I have a baby Atticus and have been thinking about how he will feel about his name a lot lately.

Unusual but a fab pedigee! don't know any myself but presume you like "To Kill a Mockingbird"? The Atticus in there is such a wonderful man, what a great person to be named for! I have Elizabeth, known as Lizzie, named for Miss Bennett.

I've never met anyone called Atticus. I think it's a name which has become more popular recently - certainly crops up a lot on MN.

TBH with a baby you've already named, no-one is going to make a negative comment on here about the name. That only happens when things are still being decided and honest opinions wanted.

Im probably over thinking it and it's a bit late to worry now!

I guess there are never any guarantees that a person will like their name!

Just been thinking about whether there are particular issues as some people say to me "I won't even try to pronounce that" when I say his name! I think that's bizarre but was concerned how people have found the name to live with!

No, sorry - but FWIW it's a lovely strong name he should be very proud to have :o

Att-ic-us

El-iz-a-beth

Seriously, people can't pronounce a three syllable name? Can they also not tie their own shoe laces?!

You'd have a very hard time trying to find an adult Atticus, I would think.
