Ok ladies 37 weeks and we cant decide!

Have girls name ready to rock, but boys....

We would like something that either:

Has some sort of meaning to our lives
Maybe some one who has done something great in the world
History/Greek maybe something with a bit of omph!

We got engaged at a lovely Restaurant called "Edwins" At first I wasn't sure, but now kinda like it? I would probably call him Eddy, but nice to think when he's older there is a grown up name there if he wishes to use it.

Saw Sarah Beanies little one called Raffety - quite like that?

I also like:
Hugo, Monty,Archie but Hubbie not sure.

Any thoughts ladies??

Alexander Edwin Lastname.

Edgar's great, edwin seems quite slight in comparison.
beware Monty will be associated negatively with Withnail and I
love Rafferty and Dunstan

I think Edwin sounds much stronger than Edgar. It ends with "win" :) Edgar sounds a bit eggy.

Oooh yes, Athelstan is a great name!

Or how about Horatio? Or Nelson?

PercyFilth · 09/11/2011 12:11

Walter. Plenty of positive examples to outweigh the Beano.

The Edwin story is lovely. Ed, Eddie, Edwin all great names

I knew an Athelstan at school (shortened to Stan) and he was lovely, good-looking and popular. Not that good at maths, though (used to copy me!)
