Evening! I posted last week but we are still frantically searching for a name for our new DD. Her sister is Nina so we need something which complements this. Her middle name will definately be Diane. We have a shortlist of Zoe, Elsa, Sadie, Kara but nothing seems perfect. Ideally we want something that is more unusual (i.e not top 100) as our surname is fairly common. Thanks in advance.

Not sure about Cadi.

I have a Nina - her little sister is Greta. My niece is called Zoe, the name has really grown on me & I think it goes really well with Nina.

mathanxiety · 09/11/2011 18:31

I heard of a baby years ago named Cadi -- her American parents thought it was a cute way to convey the name Katie.

Greta is gorgeous, RillaBlythe.

Likeaheadlesschicken · 09/11/2011 22:09

Thanks for your suggestions and views, we have until 1:30pm tomorrow to decide as we are officially registering her birth then. I have visions of us not deciding beforehand and when the registrar asks for her name DH and I blurt out something different!!!

jumpyjan · 09/11/2011 22:18

I think Zoe is beautiful and goes perfectly with Nina.

Jojay · 09/11/2011 22:22

I agree - Nina and Zoe is gorgeous.

My DD is Lara.

BibiBelle · 09/11/2011 22:22

Merrin or Meredith

RillaBlythe · 10/11/2011 22:06

What did you decide, OP?

latenightmum · 10/11/2011 22:09

Yes I thought Elena too. OR
Helena, Alayna, Alyssia, Elin, Lina

Likeaheadlesschicken · 12/11/2011 10:54

It's going to be contentious as it didn't get positive reviews but we chose Cadi Diane, it just seemed to suit her the most. Hope she forgives us for the life long chore of having to spell her name!!! Thanks for all your suggestions, naming DC2 is MUCH harder than naming the first one, well I think so!!

ChippingInNeedsSleep · 12/11/2011 15:55

My friends little girl is Cadi. She's a lovely wee thing, fiesty, determined and an absolute joy with a cheeky smile!
