Please be honest, I can take it . She will be our dc3, and she is proving very hard to name. Maybe it will be obvious when she arrives!

Francesca (oh, WHY does DH never agree with me!?)

I like Ellen shortened to Nell. Really lovely

I love Martha and Eliza, unfortunately DH doesn't.

and she wouldn't be Ellie, she'd be Nell!

I considered Eleanor shortened to Nora as a matter of fact, would never have called her Ellie, though I'm sure she'd get that at school.

We're currently on should-we-find-out-the-sex debates... I think we need it given our track record for not agreeing on names

Never heard that one, we were worrying about Nora Batty!

I was at soft play the other day and the most gorgeous girl in the world (aged about 3) came and stroked my DS's head and smiled at him. Turns out her name was Nancy (Dad called her shortly after, ending DS's raptures of joy) so now that's my favourite name

I do like Nora too. Just not Eleanor.

I just need to love Eleanor, right?

YY to finding out the sex, the thought of having to agree 4 names would be too much for DH and me!

Ethne is a name you wont see in the top 1000, i had it picked for my dd but choose a name at 982. Shes 7 and her name is getting popular now.

4 names argh!!!! maybe I should. We didn't for DD, and wouldn't have for another singleton, but I think there are surprises enough with twins...

Alice - nice, but there's a lot around at the moment if that bothers you.

Nell could also be from Helena or Ellen.

It's quite simply the best name ever.

Nell and Beatrice, don't like the others but love these two

Alice is the best and Beatrice is nice. Not over-fond of Nancy or nell and really, really dislike Romola - sorry.

Oh lawks - I am no further up the road in deciding what I like.
