My sister has changed her mind, once again, and decided to name my new born niece Peyton (as in One Tree Hill). I don't think this is such a universal name and her dh hates it...is it that bad or should i talk to her in case she regrets it?

"It's her and her DH's choice. Nowt to do with you and it's best to stay out of it completely."

I agree 100% with this. And I certainly wouldn't involve a random bunch of internetters (us Smile) - It is your sister's and her dh's decision alone imo!

Personally I wouldn't choose Peyton but it is not up to us but your sister & her husband to 'battle it out' - I don't think you or us should get involved.

It's a pretty dire name, but you really have to stay out of it. Unfortunately.

My cousin named her second DC Peyton. I don't like it as it sounds like a place name and it didn't go with their surname IMO. But none of my business and I didn't say anything.

If her DH really hates it, she shouldn't be named Peyton. But personally I would stay out of it.

i know a little girl called Peyton

not my cup of tea, but nothing wrong with it

it's her baby and her choice

Show her a picture of this Peyton, who is not a girl. It is such a dire name that I don't think you should stay on the sidelines.

I agree with Nooka here -- even though the DH chose the first child's name, why would she inflict a name he really can't stand on the child?

Up to her. It's ok as a name.
