I hereby officially give up on trying to choose a "sensible" name for our DC1 due on halloween. We don't know if it's a boy or girl, and we just cannot seem to agree on a name.

So, assuming that s/he arrives on time, what Halloween themed names can you suggest?

I give you Morticia or Gomez as a starting point.

LOL at wigglesrock not sure which of them is more scary Grin and thanks for your congrats.

Sabrina just got added to the list.

And a genuine thanks everyone; we'd actually reached a point where we were despairing of finding a suitable name which we both like, this started as a bit of a joke but it's given us both a renewed excitement.

I was born on Halloween!!!

My parents gave me a very spooky name.....

They called me Tracie.

So not only is it not at all spooky, but it took a popular 80s name and spelt it an odd way.

We have a Hallowe'en child with a very ordinary name. The date is enough to make the baby special - they wouldn't thank you for a "themed" name.

Xavielli · 03/10/2011 09:23

I always call my Halloween baby pumpkin, which is very apt as he has quite red hair!

startail · 03/10/2011 09:49

Personally I'd have either Emma (Watson) or Isabella because they ate mice names and only you'd know whyWink

paddypoopants · 03/10/2011 09:58

Boo- like the wee girl in Monsters inc.

DandyDan this is meant to be slightly toungue in cheek.

Having said that there are some really fantastic names being suggested here that we have added to the list.

It's given us a new angle to look at names from, rather than trawling through the same baby name books over and over again.
