Alliterated names work well - I've known alliterated twins Anna and Angela; Lucy and Lianne.

On the other hand, how about utterly different names which do not 'go together', your twins might prefer greater individuality?

For example, Elizabeth and Joyce [plucked randomly]

xkatyx · 21/09/2011 18:41

Thank you all for posting, I don't mind of that sound "ee" or not no preference at all there.

I do love cute names I love the my daughters name bonnie steel away :0)

I like Rosie as it can be shortened to rose which I also love.
And also me and dh agree.

Hubby also likes daisy, or maizy but they don't stand out to me at all .. I would love something diffrent and cute but not "omg" if that makes sense.

I do love kitty alot but again dh doesn't.

saintmerryweather · 21/09/2011 22:33

Some of you really hate the OP's twins...Agatha? Mabel? Maud? Really? I think it would be better to call your daughter Rose, then nn Rosie, then she's got a cute name for growing up with and an adult name for when she's older. I love Kitty, short for Catherine or you could shorten it to Cate instead

Can't understand people who name their daughters Maisie - don't they realise she'll be a 30 year old Maisie one day?

Kayano · 21/09/2011 22:38

Read through thread and my fave combos are

Rosie and Heidi
Rosie and Pippa

ZuzuandZara · 21/09/2011 23:13

Saintmerryweather

My Maisie was named after a 90 year old Maisie. Suited her alright. And I bet she had been 30 once upon a time and it suited her then as well.

tiptoptally · 21/09/2011 23:22

Rose & Eilidh
Rosie & Lorelei
Rosie & Nancy - this is my fave combo

IggyPup · 22/09/2011 00:40

I like Zeta.

Does it go with Rosie? Hmmm maybe not.

What's the thoughts on these

Florrie and Rosie

Kitty and Rosie

OP posts:
GibberingGinger · 22/09/2011 12:02

I think both combinations are lovely, though I don't think I have heard of Florrie before.

I like the fact that they have different initials, and I would reccommend naming the first girl born the name later in the alphabet. That way the "younger" twin gets to come first alphabetically.
