Billy's daughter in Eastenders.

LynetteScavo · 13/08/2011 16:23

No, Billy's ex wife.

His daughter is called Janet.

Maddison = American rubbish name
Honey = way too cutesy cutesy

Overall - YUK!

manicinsomniac · 13/08/2011 22:10

I had a hamster called Honey too!

But I also knew a human Honey - my best friend's little sister when I was about 7. I loved it then and still think it's pretty cute now.

I think Maddison Honey has a nice ring to it.

Thank you for all your messages. I am very grateful for your honest opnions. No this isn't my first have a daughter already. Was not very popular at the time now think its between 50 and 60 of this year names not sure tho. In my area there doesn't seem to be any Madison around. I should say that this wasn't my top choice but the only one out of 30names dh likes. I would prefer to have a name that isn't used that much. But can't think of any x

I think Honey is lovely - it was on my list for middle name. I dislike Maddison though but you like it & I do think it goes with Honey.

I think Honey falls into the same kind of boat as Daisy, Poppy, Milly, Molly - all very cute & girly sounding which I really like :)

LetThereBeRock · 14/08/2011 12:27

I love Honey. It's one of my guilty pleasure names. I'm not sure that I could use it as a first name, but I wouldn't hesitate to use it as a middle name.

TidyDancer · 14/08/2011 12:33

Oh, I thought this was a joke. Sorry. Blush

Seriously though, it's not a great name, is it? It's what my mum would describe as a plastic name, both of them give me the ick if I'm honest.

What is your older DD's name? Is there something that you considered for her that you could use for DD to be?

Ephiny · 14/08/2011 12:40

I like Madison quite a lot actually, would spell with one 'd' though. I've never heard this used here, though I believe it's very popular in the US!

Wouldn't use Honey though, just sounds a bit too cutesy and twee - maybe nice for a baby girl but I'd be a bit embarrassed by it as a teenager or adult I think.

hocuspontas · 14/08/2011 13:04

Too many 'son's. If you are set on these I'd go for Honey Thomson with Madison as a middle name.

Ephiny · 14/08/2011 13:24

Oh good point about the surname, Madison Thomson sounds a bit odd and repetitive. Maybe Madeleine would be better in that case!

Rhubarbgarden · 14/08/2011 16:43

Dislike.

Bandwithering · 14/08/2011 18:17

Awful.

Bandwithering · 14/08/2011 18:18

Is the sur name Thompson. Oh I second going for Madeleine

TillyIpswitch · 14/08/2011 19:31

I was thinking that about the double 'sons' as well, which is what you get if you use a surname as a first name. I don't think the issue is that Madison is popular per se, rather that it is very faddy and will therefore date terribly.

For the love of God, don't switch Honey to the first name though.

Junebugjr · 15/08/2011 14:28

Being completely honest - it sounds like a stripper name. It sounds cheap.

There are better unusual names out there if that's what your going for. If you love it though go with it. I sometimes get raised eyebrows at dd2s name! But I absolutely love it so am not bothered.
