Thinking about Minnie Alexandra Kathleen Palmer - Yes or No?!

There has been a thread about the name Minnie before, and about 100000 people posted saying it was a slang name for fanjo.

I have actually never heard the word Minnie as slang for fanjo, but that is almost certainly because my children are too young.

But yes, apparently it is synonymous.

Shame about the fanjo thing as it's quite a nice name

Millie, Megan, Molly are all lovely and similiar and not slang for fanny!

I do know a little girl called Minnie and she is very cute but I personally disaprove of the name as I think she is going to get grief for it when she gets a bit older!!!

Yep, my DH uses "minnie" as a name for vagina (in a light-hearted rather than sexual context, IYSWIM). I'd never heard it used that way before I met him but he really does.

Could you use it as a nickname of your child but given them a more traditional name?

My friends little girl is called Minnie, at first i was a bit but she was saying it;s like an old ladies name, her great nan was a Minnie. I love it now! Really cute, there's a million names that you will here piss takes of!

I like it as a nickname for a little girl. I know a beautiful little girl called Hermione but is always known as Minnie. Perhaps not a good idea to use Hermione at the moment though, what with all the Harry Potter hype.

My Nana is called Minnie and she's 93 but I guess it's due a revival! And I don't think it sounds rude!

I agree it is more of a nn than a bc name. We have considered it as a nn for Jasmine. I think Minnie is a lovely nn - regardless of any links to Disney characters (I think as a child I would have LOVED the connection!)

Short for Minerva it's ok. Minnie on it's own makes me think of mice, cars, milk lollies and fanjos!

Alexandra Kathleen Palmer would be a very nice name :)

Minna is a lovely name. Can then be Minnie for nn.
