Hello- new on here so hope I get things right.
Expecting twin DD in November; been thinking of names to go with DH surname- Fabrice (pronownced Fab ree chay).
What do you think of Taffeta and Gingham? I have loved these names for ages.
Any ideas for middle names?

Oh yes, if you love them go for them:)
How about

Taffeta Velour and Gingham Sateen

or , with a similar vibe,
Velvet Tulle and Damask Voile

MelinaM · 16/07/2011 23:33

I think Taffeta Lace has a certain ring to itGrin ...or even Taffeta Silk

As for Gingham, well, Sateen or Plisse fit the bill nicelyWink

prudaloo · 16/07/2011 23:38

I love Taffeta Silk!!!!
Is "Plisse" a name though? Confused

JiltedJohnsJulie · 17/07/2011 10:38

Although these are lovely I much prefer Velveteen and Rayon.

CandiceMariePratt · 17/07/2011 10:49

Polly-Esther would be lovely for one of them

MardyBra · 17/07/2011 10:57

Brentford and nylon?

MelinaM · 17/07/2011 11:20

Plisse is french, tres chic! Grin

PaperBank · 17/07/2011 12:45

Surely Cambric and Hessian are due a comeback?

fairieswearboots · 17/07/2011 15:35

Love Hessian!Wink
Also how about Calico and D'Nim

prudaloo · 17/07/2011 15:36

Will deffo go for Taffeta Silk Fabrice- sounds lovely, thanks MelinaM!

I actually met sisters once called Taffeta and Organza!

prudaloo · 17/07/2011 19:03

feckwit-noooo, someone got in before me? Sooooooooooooooooo unfair, I have wanted Taffeta for ages!
Don't like Organiza as much- sounds like Organiser Grin
Hessian is more for a boy, fairies, dontcha think? It's like a Cossack name IMO.

MelinaM · 17/07/2011 19:07

Chantilly, Chiffon and Tulle are also amongst my favouritesWink

prudaloo · 17/07/2011 19:44

Hmm,prudaloo, sort of see what you mean - Hessian does have a touch of the masculine about it. But wouldn't it be smashing for an earthy, robust ,hard-working sort of a gel? Think i would go for something like Tweed, or Worsted for a lad; had you picked any boys names?

prudaloo · 17/07/2011 21:16

OOh YES!
We had twin boy names before we found it was girls!!
Were thinking Nankeen and Barathea!
Didn't get to the second names though!

OP posts:
fairieswearboots · 17/07/2011 21:19

fairieswearboots · 17/07/2011 21:22

Cant help but think of middle names now even tho hypothetical

Nankeen Serge
Barathea Twill

Belltatrix · 17/07/2011 21:25

Taffeta Chlamydia and Gingham Chardonnay for girls
Worsted Rough and Pinstripe Pencil for boys .
Quite pleased with that...

prudaloo · 17/07/2011 21:27

Nankeen Serge Fabrice Smile I looooooooove it!

OP posts:
prudaloo · 17/07/2011 21:28

Bellatrix; whisper"chlamidyia is NOT a nice name, y'know"

OP posts:
Rhubarbgarden · 17/07/2011 22:56

No no no. For boys it would have to be Mungo and Shoddy.

prudaloo · 17/07/2011 23:29
