Would you have Lewis for a middle name if your surname was similar to Hamilton?

Am facing this decision. Lewis is a family name (my maiden name) and we'd like to use it if possible, but our surname is very similar to Hamilton. Can't get the formula 1 music out of my head as I type this!

Could you have something like Fred Lewis George Hamilton - i.e. throw in an additional middle name so the Lewis isn't next to the Hamilton?

tbh I'm really struggling to come up with a surname that is similar to Hamilton but yet is not Hamilton :o.

Only one middle name. I have two and have nothing good to say about it.

I have two and it's fine - I have Unpronounceable Obscure Name, Bog Standard Middle Name, Family Name, Surname. I like the 4 initial thing.

Re surname - the first syllable is the same and then the rest is different. The couple of people I have mentioned it to have noticed the connection. I just have to decide whether I am bothered about it or not! There is another option, which is my dad's first name (a long standing family name going back generations) but I feel like that makes it more about him than my family as a whole iyswim.

If you can't stomach 2 middle names then the answer has to be no. Fred Lewis Hamilton wouldn't work.

I know there are plenty of people with two that don't mind it, but it has always annoyed me - I can't fit it on forms for a start! And I get bugged when my second initial is used but my third isn't. All silly things really, but I didn't want to give my children two. Plus my older children only have one middle name each, so it feels a bit lopsided to give this one two.

I think it would be fine - Lewis Hamilton may not be in the public eye at all by the time your baby is grown up.
Also, Lewis is a fairly popular name, it isn't as if it were Keanu or Tiberius. People aren't going to wonder where on earth you got the idea from.
