Yes, wanted to call dd2 it, but with the surname would of sounded like a cartoon character. Loved it, from the film benny & joon :)

It's very pretty but perhaps a little pretentious. I'd also avoid it because it reminds me of gin!

I know a Juniper who is in her mid-30s. Her sister is Saffron. I think they are actually both lovely names. Not my normal style (I like old fashioned names) but I think it is really quite nice.

It's my daughter's name! Apart from being called a hippy a couple of times it has got very good reactions. One lady from work did mention gin.. but that doesn't bother me. We do call her Juno.

I know two sisters called Juniper and Rowan, to be fair though they did get a lot of flack in their teens

I am a real names traditionalist but Juniper is lovely, lovely, lovely. Not icky in a Bluebell-type flower name way just kinda strong and earthy. Gorgeous.

I think it makes an interesting alternative to the many popular flower names and Juno would make a spunky nickname. In the Victorian language of flowers Juniper meant 'succour, protection'.

I like it very much, I like the 60's hippy connotations it brings to mind :)

I love it, but our surname is Jones, so not sure it would really work

I saw the title of the thread and instantly thought juniper berry scene from Monty Python's life of Brian. It's different but not totally out there iyswim. I quite like it.
