Can I blame the pregnancy hormones? :o. I've loved Melody for years so was a bit Shock when I found that we need a 2nd girls name!!!!

DP told me Harmony was horrid but a little bit of me disagreed. But I do see tht 'Harm' as a nickname isnt very nice.

So how about Melody and Calypso (nn Callie). Is that less twee?

also like Romilly and Liberty from the other suggestions. Do they fit with Melody.

I also am tempted by Felicity and Verity which surprises me as these are names I have never considered.

I thought so, belgo [smug emoticon]. Themed but not matching.

Grin

although Seeker you didn't actually suggest Cecelia, you suggested Cecelis Grin

belgo · 18/06/2011 13:08

and I've just googled, it's CeciliaBlush

So I did. Need new glasses!

What about Aria? It's a more classy and less common musical name.

I love Verity from your list but I think 2 -y names are too much.

Other musical names:
Charmaine
Harper
Viola
Lyrica
Piper

your names are not my cup of tea... but wanted to say that I would avoid having both names ending with a "y" ;-)

Ephiny · 19/06/2011 17:32

I like Melody, but not so keen on Harmony as a name, and would agree with others that it's probably best to avoid matching/rhyming/themed names for twins! There's just no way for it not to be twee and cringe-worthy.

I was going to suggest Cecilia myself but someone else got there first! Very pretty name and the 'theme' is somewhat less obvious.

TheMonster · 19/06/2011 17:38

Oh for god's sake. I think you should let your DH choose the names.

Hulababy · 19/06/2011 21:11

DD has a friend called Liberty. It is sometimes shortened to Libby. Not a name I;d have chosen but it does suit her and it has grown on me.

Melody and Grace :)

mumsiepie · 19/06/2011 21:52

Cecily is a nicer version of Cecilia

smother · 20/06/2011 12:18

Melody and Calypso are dreadful together. Stick with Melody if you love it.... Melody and Serena was a nice suggestion I think.
