My friend Dorothy is known as Dee. Call her Dot at your peril!

My dd is Dorotea and we call her Dora for short (except dh who often calls her Dottie Doodle). My cousin's dd has the same name (named after the same grandmother) and is called Tea for short. My other cousin's dd is Dorothy Rose (same grandmother...she was very loved) and they called her by her full (!) name Dorothy Rose. None of us have any regrets about our choices.

I know a little Dorothy. She is gorgeous and called Dottie most of the time.

I had this name on my list, and would've nn Dot, or possibly Dolly.

Think it's a fantastic name.

My nan was a Dorothy and known as Dolly or Doll, but I like Dotty.

Do to rhyme with "dough" as in Playdough :)

My mum's name and she has always disliked it.

Dot.

I also knew a little Dorothy (when I was at school) who was a Dorrie.
